On October 14, 2025, LIFE.14 provided technical support for an online event held at the Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) Japan office. The webinar aimed to recruit clinical psychologists who can support MSF’s medical teams around the world, offering mental health care to people affected by conflict and disaster. Through careful planning and live production, LIFE.14 helped bring this important initiative to life.

Connecting Japan and Korea through Simultaneous Interpretation
This project posed a unique technical challenge: delivering real-time simultaneous interpretation between Japan and South Korea. With speakers and participants joining from both countries, our team built multiple audio channels and designed a system that transmitted bilingual interpretation with minimal delay.
To ensure stability, we conducted multiple rehearsals, implemented redundant network routes, and closely coordinated with the MSF team to achieve smooth transitions and high-quality streaming on the day of the event.
This was more than a technical exercise—it was an effort to bridge languages, cultures, and people united by the same humanitarian mission.

Why MSF Invests in Online and Hybrid Events
MSF has been expanding its use of online and hybrid formats to reach a broader audience and deepen understanding of humanitarian work.Beyond doctors and nurses, MSF’s missions rely on professionals such as psychologists, engineers, logisticians, and water treatment specialists.

By hosting events online, MSF can connect with individuals who might not otherwise have the opportunity to attend in person, offering them a window into the organization’s global activities.Hybrid events also enable participants across regions to share the same experience—linking MSF’s local offices, field staff, and supporters in one virtual space.
In this way, MSF ensures that no one is left behind, expanding access and awareness through thoughtful event design.
Continuing Collaboration
LIFE.14 has supported several of MSF’s outreach and recruitment initiatives, including the Chad Water Treatment Specialist Recruitment Session, the Humanitarian Congress Hybrid, and the webinar “Working with Refugees and Migrants Around the World.”
Each event plays a vital role in inspiring new humanitarian professionals and deepening public understanding of MSF’s mission. For every project, LIFE.14 designs the most effective technical setup and on-site operation plan to ensure that each message is delivered clearly and meaningfully.
Technology That Connects Compassion
At LIFE.14, we see technology not merely as a tool for efficiency, but as a bridge that carries human intention. We are proud to support those who save lives on the front lines, and to help connect them with people who wish to stand by their side from afar.
Through the power of visual storytelling, livestreaming, and technology, LIFE.14 will continue to support projects that make a difference across borders.
