The British Chamber of Commerce in Japan (BCCJ) hosted the 2025 British Business Awards (BBA) under the theme “Beyond the Sky, Achievement in Motion.” Held at Hilton Tokyo, the gala brought together leaders from across the UK–Japan business community, who arrived in tuxedos, kilts, kimono and evening gowns for an evening of celebration, networking, and recognition.Some of the photos captured by LIFE.14 during the event were also featured in the BCCJ’s official report. Guests enjoyed the Nyetimber Sparkling Wine Reception, followed by lively conversations accompanied by British beverages, regional sake and shochu. Performances, a humorous opening video and a six-course dinner created a memorable atmosphere, guided seamlessly by returning MCs Guy Perryman MBE and Madoka Kato.
This year’s awards recognised outstanding achievements across seven categories, celebrating innovation, responsible business, partnership and entrepreneurship that continue to strengthen UK–Japan ties. Remarks from BCCJ President Richard Lyle, Executive Director Sarah Backley, and British Ambassador to Japan Julia Longbottom CMG highlighted another year of deepening bilateral collaboration, including the formalisation of the Industrial Strategy Partnership and the UK Pavilion’s success at Expo 2025 Osaka.
LIFE.14 supported this year’s British Business Awards with a comprehensive suite of production services, including event videography, full-event recording, and real-time screen content management. To enhance the immersive experience for all attendees, our team also conducted rapid nominee photocall sessions and produced an on-site slideshow, ensuring the images were displayed in a continuous loop throughout the venue.
Our involvement in the BBA represents not only a technical contribution but also an example of our long-term partnership with the BCCJ and international chambers of commerce. Having supported the BBA for multiple consecutive years, we are proud to be part of its evolution.
