Filming and streaming of UNHCR Workshop on "World Refugee Day"

June 20th is World Refugee Day, which aims to raise awareness of and expand the circle of support for refugees. In preparation for World Refugee Day, a workshop was held on June 15th, co-hosted by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Japan Office, the United Nations Development Programme ( UNDP) Japan Representative Office, and Youth Co:Lab.

The aim of this workshop was to gain a deeper understanding of the current situation surrounding refugees around the world and the "humanitarian, development and peace nexus," and to tackle the issue from the perspective of social entrepreneurship. Participants included Maya Arita, CEO of Youth Nanmin Platform (YRP), Coconala Inc., Wataru Nakata, winner of the Scalability Award at the Youth Co:Lab Social Innovation Challenge Japan 2022, founder of ProMaman, Erin Shiraishi, finalist at the Youth Co:Lab Social Innovation Challenge Japan 2023, Hideko Hadzialić, representative of UNDP Japan, and Reiki Ito, representative of UNHCR Japan.

We were in charge of filming and distribution.

The event was held at Share Noma on the first floor of the Nakano Ward Office New Ward Building. The event was held with the cooperation of Nakano Ward, which is a signatory city of the "Network of Local Governments Supporting Refugees."
