Event recordings and live-stream videos can serve many different purposes.
Maybe you’d like to create a short, lively piece to share the atmosphere with the public, or perhaps you need to keep a full recording of a lecture for internal training or reference. The best video format depends on who you want to reach and how you want to deliver your message.
At LIFE.14, we offer three video styles tailored to different goals and situations: Full Recording, Highlight Video, and Highlight Edits.
If you’re wondering which one suits your needs best, here’s a quick guide to each style and the kinds of occasions they’re ideal for.
1 Full Recording
First, let’s introduce Full Recording, which captures the entire event from start to finish.
This format records everything — speeches, presentations, Q&A sessions, and panel discussions — preserving the full flow of the day. At LIFE.14, we deliver the video at nearly the same length as the actual event. For example, a five-hour event will result in a five-hour video, providing a complete record that fully meets your archiving needs.
Capturing the Entire Event Without Omission
Full Recording faithfully reproduces the day’s proceedings, allowing viewers to relive the atmosphere as if they were there.
Ideal for Long-Term Archiving and Sharing
Those who couldn’t attend on the day can still watch everything without missing a moment. This format is especially useful for valuable content such as training sessions or guest lectures that are worth revisiting. Many clients also use it for internal education, onboarding, or sharing with overseas branches.
Seamless Production from Filming to Editing
Before delivery, we can perform light editing such as trimming mistakes, adding subtitles, or replacing presentation slides. We also balance the audio, slides, and camera angles for a clean and easy-to-watch result. Filming is typically done with two to three fixed cameras to ensure stable and consistent footage.
A Sense of Security in Keeping a Complete Record
With Full Recording, you can accurately review what was said and discussed after the event, ensuring a high level of reliability as an official record. That’s why many companies and organizations choose this format for their important events.
As a reference, we’ve included a Full Recording example from an event hosted by the Embassy of Switzerland in Japan below. Please take a look.

2. Highlight Video
Next, let’s take a look at the Highlight Video, a short, engaging summary that captures the most memorable moments of an event. This style combines scenes such as attendees’ expressions, speakers on stage, and the overall atmosphere of the venue into a lively 3–5 minute video. With a more attractive and dynamic structure, it serves as a compact version that distills the very essence of the event.
Conveying the Energy and Appeal of the Event
By condensing the atmosphere and energy of the day into a short video, Highlight Videos leave a strong impression on viewers. Unlike Full Recording, they feature more dynamic camera work and editing, bringing the excitement of the event directly to life.
High Flexibility and Creative Freedom
Highlight Videos offer great flexibility in editing — from adding background music, captions, and on-screen graphics to enhancing storytelling. You can also insert text to highlight key messages or speaker quotes, making the content easier to understand and more engaging.
Perfect for Trailers and Social Media
Their short and rhythmic structure makes them ideal for use as event trailers, social media posts, or opening visuals. With a sense of pace that leaves viewers wanting more, Highlight Videos effectively showcase the appeal of your brand or event.
Enhancing Brand Image Through Visual Expression
At LIFE.14, we tailor every element — from logo animation and title design to music selection — to match your brand identity. The result is a visually and emotionally impactful video that maximizes engagement across social media and websites.

3. Highlight Edits
Finally, let’s introduce the Highlight Edits — short videos that focus on selected parts of an event according to your specific goals.Unlike a Highlight Video that summarizes the entire event, this format extracts and edits only particular segments — such as a keynote speech, a specific scene, or a short clip for promotional use.
Concise and Impactful 30-Second Videos
Highlight Edits are typically around 30 seconds long. Within that brief time, they deliver a clear message and capture the viewer’s attention. This format is ideal for promotional or advertising purposes where you want to make a strong impact in a limited timeframe.
Optimized for Social Media and Advertising Platforms
At LIFE.14, we also create vertical-format videos tailored for platforms like Instagram and TikTok. Every detail — from text placement and logo positioning to pacing — is designed with smartphone viewing in mind, ensuring that even short clips leave a lasting impression.
Delivering Your Brand and Message Effectively
Highlight Edits are widely used for corporate image videos, event trailers, and campaign promotions. Many clients choose to produce them alongside a main video, allowing a single event to be repurposed across multiple platforms and audiences.
As a reference, we’ve included a Highlight Edit we created for the Invest in Sharjah event below. Please take a look.
At LIFE.14, we offer flexible planning, filming, and editing to match the purpose and goals of each event.Whether you have a clear vision of the kind of video you want to create or just a rough idea of how you’d like to share your message, we’re here to help.
